Year Round Season

Competitive teams are formed in the summer of each year through open tryouts and evaluations. Players are accepted to their team for a one – year (12-month) commitment beginning July 1 to June 30th the following year.

The Competitive program requires travel to local, regional and/or out-of-state tournaments. Individual teams compete at various levels depending upon the competitive needs of the players involved.

U8-U19 Teams

In the all age groups, there is a first team (Nero), a second team (Azul) and a third team (Cinza) in each age group, when numbers allow. This level is referred to as the Youth Club Soccer. Whichever the case, players have made a decision to play competitive soccer and are placed based upon their passion, needs and ability.

Player Placement

Every year in late February and May, soccer clubs conduct their annual tryouts to place players on a team based on their abilities. Those tryouts take hundreds of man hours to look at hundreds, possibly thousands of players in a short period of time. While majority of the players receive a phone call and are placed appropriately, many fall through the cracks, some cannot attend these tryouts, and many are too nervous to show their true ability.

When we look at the athletes, we measure their technical and tactical abilities along with their physical and psychological attributes. A tryout period does not allow us to fully rate players accurately. For these reasons, players will be observed throughout the entire year by their team Head Coach and Director of Coaching at training sessions and games. They will then be consequently placed more accurately within the Rush system. Evaluations will be based on the previously mentioned components in addition to attendance, attitude, team chemistry, and consistency, to name a few.

Fees

Competitive fees range from per season ($1250 to $1550 per year). Payments can be made in 3-4 installments each season or could be made in a monthly subscription.

The fees DO NOT include referee fees, coach travel expenses, uniforms, socal league team registration, or any other fees that aren't upon agreement.

Player Pathway

Our Competitive Program exists to allow any player, irrespective of ability, the opportunity to take their game to the height of their potential. Additional divisions within our Competitive Program give our top level players more elite playing opportunities. For our top players, their goals should include playing on their respective SOCAL NPL (Girls) team or EA2 (Boys) team, Rush Select XI Regional teams and Rush Select XI National teams.

For our club, our goal is to push our players to reach that "next level" by allowing our members as many opportunities within our local club and national Rush network to improve their overall game all while providing an unparalleled youth soccer experience.
